Liturgy for Cleansing a Genocide Site During the 2006 Wheaton PCM, Conlee and Signa Bodishbaugh, during a workshop on the Holy Spirit's power to cleanse the effects of sin, described a liturgy they wrote for cleansing sites of genocide in Rwanda and what happened when Archbishop Emmanuel Kolini led the people to pray this liturgy at Ruhanga, a genocide site where about 23,000 victims are buried. The full report of that missionary trip to Rwanda is found here: Report of Rwandan Missionary Trip, June 2006 This liturgy is an example of how through confession, repentance and the invocation of the Holy Spirit we can undo the residual effects of the enemy in places and in people's hearts. It is a way of cleansing and reclaiming for God what has been given over to the enemy through sin. This example demonstrates how we incorporate basic PCM principles in these situations and could be adapted to many situations.
